Florence Morgan Pitman, former resident of Jerome, Shoshoe and Dietrich Idaho, age 75, died march 8, 1990 in Bountiful, Utah in a care center.

She was born December 12, 1914 to Joseph Morgan and Melissa Marium Bassett in Poplar, Idaho where she attended school. She married Leeland Wessel in 1933 and they had one daughter, Alice. Later divorced. She married George Howard Pitman April 4, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; he preceded her in death in 1985. A stake mission with her husband Howard, was the highlight of her church service. She was an avid flower gardener with a special love for geraniums. Her last years were spent with her daughter, Alice Hunt in Colorado Springs, Colorado and in a care center in Bountiful.She is survived by her daughters, Alice Wessel Hunt, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Helen Pitman Johnson, Bountiful; Phyllis Pitman Lewin, Twin Falls, Idaho; sons, Dale Pitman, San Jose, Calif.; Marvin Pitman, Pocatello, Id.; and Leon Pitman, Modesto, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; brothers, Alma Morgan, Pasco, Wash.; Ray Morgan, Fruit Heights; sisters, Mamie Voss, Pasco, Wash.; Lila Anderson, Shoshone, Idaho. Preceded in death by sister, Emily Morgan Pitman and brothers, Edwin and Cecil Morgan.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 12, 1990, 12 noon, Shoshone and Dietrich LDS Ward Chapel, in Shoshone, Idaho, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Shoshone, Idaho Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary. T 3/10 N3 3/10
