Bill Cosby and "The Cosby Show" dominated the People's Choice Awards with three trophies, while Roseanne Barr and "Batman" picked up two awards each.
Meryl Streep, Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman captured the top awards Sunday in the movie categories, while musical honors went to Paula Abdul, Bobby Brown, Kenny Rogers and Randy Travis.Arsenio Hall took the first-time category as favorite late-night talk show host for his syndicated show, beating out Johnny Carson and David Letterman.
Cosby won his sixth straight trophy for favorite male TV performer. He was also named as favorite all-around male entertainer.
Barr captured the same two awards in the female category, beating out Phylicia Rashad of "The Cosby Show" for favorite all-around female TV performer.
The awards, determined by a nationwide Gallup Organization poll, were announced during a two-hour broadcast on CBS. The 22 categories spanned the entertainment world, from television, film and music.
