George Emery Stewart, Jr., age 83, died March 19, 1990 at his home.
Born November 11, 1906 in Vernal to George Emery and Nancy Elizabeth Birchell Stewart. Married Elva Gagon August 10, 1929 in Rockville, Maryland. Attended schools in Myton, Westminster, the University of Utah, and graduated from the George Washington Law School. Duchesne County Attorney several years. Veteran World War II, U. S. Army. Member of the Western States Historical Society.Survived by his wife of Roosevelt; three daughters, Mrs. Garth D. (Mary Ellen) Gardner, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Therrol (Renee) Millett, St. George; and Nancy Harrison, Roosevelt; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Millie Thomas of Price. Preceded in death by a brother, J. Birchell Stewart; and sister, Gladys Dennis.
Funeral services Thursday, 2 p.m., at the Olpin-Hullinger Mortuary, where friends may call Wednesday, 7-9 p.m., and Thursday, one hour prior. Burial Roosevelt Memorial Park.
