George W. Groesbeck, Jr. died at home of natural causes, Tuesday, March 20, 1990. He was 78 years old.

Born August 30, 1911 in Castle Gate, Utah to George W. Groesbeck, Sr. and Emma Worsencroft Groesbeck. He lived a full, productive and honorable life. At age 15 he worked as a stock boy for Bennetts Glass and Paint Co., Salt Lake City, to support his family when his father died. Retiring in 1973, he was Bennetts' top paint salesman, known by painters and decorators throughout the Intermountain region for his professionalism, honesty and service.The highlight of his life was his marriage to Myrtle I. Jacobsen, formerly of Ault, Colorado, September 21, 1933. Their 56 years together was a marriage of mutual trust, love, care and respect.

Mr. Groesbeck was a veteran of World War II, where he served as an infantryman in the European Theater with the 83rd Infantry Division, and participated in five major battles, earning the Combat Infantryman's Badge.

Mr. Groesbeck is survived by his wife, Myrtle; his sons, Bradley and Wesley; sister, Faye Modine; grandchildren, Brooke, Lisa, Kira, Bryce, Christopher and Malia.

A Memorial Service followed by a pot luck lunch will be held for family members and close friends at his residence Saturday, March 24th, 12 Noon.
