Todd Gentry, Alan Frampton and former Cougar David Reeves have verbally committed to play at the Laie campus. Gentry, a freshman, scored 18 points this year and took down 15 rebounds in 154 minutes of play. Frampton, a freshman, did not score and had one rebound in eight minutes of varsity play. Reeves played for BYU in 1986-87, scoring two points and playing seven minutes. After going on a two-year LDS mission, he returned to play for Utah Valley Community College last season.Frampton said he was notified by BYU Coach Roger Reid that his grant-in-aid would not be renewed next season and Reeves, who had hoped to return to BYU next year, was not offered a grant. Gentry said as far as he knew he would have retained his grant, but decided to transfer for "personal reasons."
