Anna Hindley Curtis, 99, of Salt Lake City, died April 19, 1990.
Born September 19, 1890 in American Fork, Utah to John r. and Hanna Chipman Hindley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. George N. Curtis.She was a member of the LDS Church, and completed a misson to Chicago, Illinois in 1909. She went to the temple regularly through her 98th years. She was head of the Lion House Guides for many years and taught classes in Relief Society and Sunday School. She was a past president of the Utah State Medical Auxiliary.
she is survived by daughter, Lucille C. Johnson, Boise Idaho; three sons, Dr. Homer C. Curtis, Philadelphia, Penn.; David H. Curtis, P.E., Salt Lake City; Dr. Clifford H. Curtis, San Carlos, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Patricia F. Curtis, Salt Lake City; sister, Jean H. Engberg, Tacoma, Wash.; 21 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. George H. Curtis.
Funeral services will be 12 noon, Tuesday, April 24, at Wasatch Ward, 1455 Emerson Avenue. Friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m. at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South, and at the ward Tuesday, one hour prior to services. Burial, Salt Lake City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Joseph Villa amd Primary Children's Medical Center.
