Robert Lee Hauck, age 66, died May 15, 1990, in Corvallis, Montana following a brief illness with cancer.
Born September 30, 1923, in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, the son of James and Lillian Punches Hauck. He was raised and educated in Mifflinburg. Following graduation from high school, he began serving a tool and die apprenticeship with the General Electric Co. In conjunction with his apprenticeship, he attended the Drexel Institute.On May 26, 1951, Robert married Emma Edinger in Lewisburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1952, he joined the Sperry Corporation and worked throughout the eastern and northwestern sates as a customer engineer. He retired in 1986 after 35 years of service. The couple moved from Salt Lake City, Utah to Corvallis, Montana in December of 1986.
Survivors include: His wife, Emma, of Corvallis; two sons, Robert, of Salt Lake City; James, of Portland, Maine; one daughter, Amy Pierce, of Corvallis, Montana; one sister, Carolyn Brawn, of Ayr, Ontario, Canada; two grandsons, Christopher Schmidt and Peter Hauck, Salt Lake City; he was preceded in death by his parents and a half brother, Raymond Hauck.
A memorial service was conducted at the Daily-Leach Chapel in Hamilton, Montana. Cremation was performed at the Daly-Leach Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
