Crews assist a passenger injured when an Amtrak train struck a line of freight cars and derailed in Crawfordsville, Ind., Wednesday. At least 31 of the 34 people aboard the train were injured in the second passenger train accident in nine days. Three cars jumped the tracks when the slow-moving train hit a line of freight cars. The Chicago-to-Indianapolis "Hoosier State" train had just stopped in Crawfordsville and was switching to another track when the accident occurred. Preliminary reports suggest a defective track switch may have caused the derailment.
