Lamb Engineering & Construction Co., 125 Walton Ave., has been awarded a $2.1 million contract by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for transmission line replacement and breaker installation at the Hoover Dam power plant in Nevada-Arizona.
Michael R. Lamb, president and owner of the 14-year-old company, said Lamb currently has projects in Riverside and Redding, Calif.; the U.S. Marine base at Twentynine Palms; the Cortez Mines near Elko, Nev.; and a wastewater treatment facility at Dugway Proving Ground.Lamb recently completed projects for the Western Area Power Administration, Bonneville Power Administration, Bureau of Reclamation, Newmont Gold, Kennecott, Hercules and several municipalities. The company's projects range from modern mining facilities to wastewater treatment plants.
