Verle Marie Felt Archibald, 70, of Orem, died Tuesday, May 1, 1990, at the East Lake Care Center in Provo, Utah.

She was born August 29, 1919 in Wapello, Idaho, a daughter of John Henry and Mabel Wood Felt. She married Blair W. Archibald August 28, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She grew up and raised her family in Idaho. She moved to Orem in December 1982 after her husband retired. She was an active member of the LDS Church having served as Relief Society president, Ward and Stake Relief Society teacher and board member, Primary Stake board member. She was very active in music as a choir member, ward organist, and she sang in many vocal ensembles.She is survived by her husband, Orem; six sons, Alan, Elden, and Douglas Archibald, all of Blackfoot, Idaho; David Archibald, Idaho Falls, Idaho; John and Richard Archibald, both of Orem; 24 grandchildren; two sisters, Beyrle Esplin, Denver, Colorado; Maurine Bills, Salt Lake City; three brothers, Elden Felt, Blackfoot, Idaho; Jay Felt, Spokane, Washington; Lowell Felt, Lancaster, California.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, at 1 p.m. in the Orem Rivergrove Chapel, 1120 East 600 North, Orem. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State, Orem, and Saturday one hour prior to services at the ward. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
