Loving sister, daughter, granddaughter, Maria Nieves Martinez, went home to her Heavenly Father May 4, 1990 at the age of 14.
Born August 14, 1975 to Louis and Rhonda Stevenson Martinez in Salt Lake City. Worked as a peer counselor for I.H.R.D. She loved music and dance, liked the outdoors, and was always a ray of sunshine.Survived by her father; stepmother, Yette Martinez; brother, Thomas L., sister, Melisa J. Martinez; step brothers and sisters, Phillip, Ali, Brook, Suarez-Martinez, Tammy Jones, and Kurt Holm; grandparents, Blas and Adeline Martinez; Bill and Inge Holm; and Keith and Deon Stevenson.
Funeral services 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, at the MacKay Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, where friends may call Monday, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. She will be missed by all who knew her.
