An exact date to start construction hasn't been set, but UDOT said a contractor has been tentatively selected, and it wants to complete the 51/2-month project sometime in the fall. The project will begin just west of the I-70 and U-6 interchange and run east to Green River. Crews will grind off pavement, resurface and then seal the entire width of the freeway. Bridge decks in the seven mile section will also be rehabilitated.
