Edgar Weber, age 70, died Sunday, June 17, 1990, at his home, from an extended illness.

Born September 21, 1919 in Grants Pass, Oregon, a son of Henry and Maria Ottilia Reuben Weber. He married Veralie May Hender September 26, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. Member of the Clearfield 3rd Ward. He had served as Aaronic Priesthood advisor, Sunday School teacher, Seventy, two full-time stake missions, High Priest secretary, Family History extractor, home teacher. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping and his family. He had worked as a sheet metal mechanic at the Naval Supply Depot, Hill AF Base, and the Defense Depot, Ogden, retiring after 35 years of service. Following his marrige he lived in Clearfield and Layton, returning to Clearfield where he resided for 34 years.Surviving wife, Veralie, Clearfield; four sons, four daughters, David E., Wellsville, Kansas; Richard D., Layton; Steven J., Roy; Dan R., Bountiful; Mrs. Joseph C. (Carol) Bebel, Washington, D.C.; Debra L. Weber, Clearfield; Mrs. Daryl L. (Bonnie) Price, McAllen, Texas; Mrs. Kevin (Joyce) Alexander, Dexheim, Germany; 15 grandchildren; brother, Johnny Weber, North Bend, Oregon; preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one daughter.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., Clearfield 3rd LDS Ward Chapel, 231 East 300 North, with Bishops' Counselor Dale Livingston officiating. Friends may call at Myers Mortuary in Layton, 250 No. Fairfield Rd., Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., and at the Ward Chapel on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment: Kaysville City Cemetery.
