Anna (Anne) Gaarden Widtsoe Wallace, age 91, died July 10, 1990.

Born April 2, 1899, in Goettingen, Germany the daughter of John Andreas and Leah Eudora Dunford Widtsoe. She was a volunteer for over 50 years with many organizations including Pink Lady Volunteers at the LDS Hospital, Travelers Aid, and the Veterans Administration Recipient of the Clara Barton Recognition Award and Salt Lake County Commission Volunteer of the Year Award for 1989. Past officer of the Brigham Young Granddaughters Association. Member of Chatabouts. Served an LDS Southern State Mission (1921-1923). Graduated from Brigham Young University in 1924. Many years were spent as librarian at the University of Utah.Survived by one son and two daughters, Dr. John Widtsoe Wallace and his wife Liza Conant of Medina, Ohio; Mrs. Richard M. (Joanne) Koplin of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Jack C. (Peggy) Thorpe, Naperville, Illinois; ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. G. Homer (Eudora) Durham, of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services Saturday, July 14th, 12 Noon, Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Friday evening, 6-8 p.m., and on Saturday, one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
