Alfred Lieber, 68, passed away suddenly July 13, 1990.
Born April 19, 1922 at Basel, Switzerland to Ulrich and Eva Kovascik Lieber. Married Miriam J. Niederhauser on April 19, 1945 in Basel, Switzerland; later solemnized in 1950 in Salt Lake Temple. Served in the Swiss Army during W.W.II. Graduated in Switzerland with a degree in chemistry. Emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1948. Prominent businessman in the Community, and Founder of Chemopham Laboratory, Inc. (C.P. Industries). C.E.O. of Utah Waikiki Development in Hawaii, and Resortex Development in Park City, Utah. President of Park Avenue Condominum Assn. and President of Imperial Hawaiian Resort Home Owners Assn. Active High Priest in LDS Church. Served a Mission in Switzerland, two Stake MIssions, Young Mens president, president of the Sunday School, Ward Clerk, and Cub Scout Master. Loved outdoors and sports. Member Salt Lake Tennis Club.Survived by: wife, son, Fred H. Lieber, daughters: Mickey Hale, Evelyne Taase, Connie Charboneau, all of Salt Lake City (preceded in death by son, David Lieber); 8 Grandchildren; brothers and sister, Ulrich Lieber, Switzerland; Margritt Dettweiler, Portland, Oregon, and Wilford Lieber, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services Tuesday, July 17th, at 12 Noon in the Parleys Sixth Ward Chapel, 2350 South 2100 East. Friends may call Monday, evening 6-8 p.m., at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South, and at the Ward Tuesday, 1 hour prior to services. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates.
