The five-day grand opening celebration of the new 351,758 square foot Red Cliffs Mall is under way.
John Price, chairman/CEO of the Salt Lake City-based Price Development Company officiated over the ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday. Gov. Norm Bangerter was one of the celebrities present for the opening along with Rosco Orman, "Gordon" of public television's Sesame Street.The only enclosed mall on I-15 between Provo and Las Vegas, the mall will draw patrons from as far north as Richfield and as far south as Mesquite, Nev. It will also provide over 370 full-time and 220 part-time jobs in southern Utah. It will contain 30 stores and restaurants including J.C. Penney, Wal-Mart and ZCMI.
Price Development Company; Robacor Associates of Sacramento, Calif.; and RMC MALLCORP of St. George joined as partners for this real estate venture.
The mall is located just off I-15 on Red Cliffs Drive between St. George and Washington. Mall hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m on Sundays.
