Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Eva Pearl White Peterson who has devoted her life to her family passed away August 27, 1990 at her home in Salt Lake City at the age of 84.
She was born October 31, 1905 in Lyman, Utah; a daughter of Henry and Emily Jakeman White. She married Harold Wendell Peterson, September 2, 1924 in Fillmore, Utah; marriage solemnized in the Manti Temple, May 27, 1925; he died August 12, 1979. She loved sewing, quilting and ceramics. She was an active member of the LDS Church, she served in both ward and stake Relief Society presidencies and many other positions in the church. She also served as a 4H leader for 14 years.Survived by three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Dean (Grace) Ernstsen; Mrs. Voy (Vivian) Taylor; Mrs. Larry (LaFonda) Anderson; Wendell Peterson, all of Salt Lake City; Dallas Peterson, Provo; 27 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Deward White, Kearns; Colleen Peterson and Faris Hatch both Salt Lake City; Marjorie Brian, Loa, Utah; LaVell King, Bicknell, Utah. Preceded in death by two sons, Dean Peterson and Boyd Peterson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, 1990 at 1 p.m. in the Lyman LDS Chapel; friends may call for viewing Thursday evening at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City from 6-7:30 p.m. and Saturday at the church in Lyman from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Lyman Cemetery under the direction of the Springer-Turner Funeral Home.
