KUTV, Ch. 2, was the big television winner in this year's UBEE Awards Competition with 18 gold and 12 silver awards, including top honors for the best newscast. KSL-TV, Ch. 5, received a total of 22 awards.
KSL (AM-1160) was the top winner in the metro radio division with 15 different awards, including the two best newscasts. KISN (FM-97.1/AM-570) earned a total of 10 awards.Park City's KPCW repeated as the big radio winner in the non-metro division by sweeping 13 different awards.
This year's event saw a record 254 entries, which were judged by Colorado broadcasters.
