Kent Berg of Salt Lake City is the winner of last week's Deseret News Grid Picks contest, earning the $100 weekly prize.

His predicted score of a 24-14 Utah State victory over Long Beach State was the closest to the actual 27-13 Aggie win.The other contestant who missed only two games - Arven D. Hansen of Elmo, was the first of 10 runners-up, who will each receive a Deseret News sports page T-shirt. The other nine came from the group of 13 who correctly guessed nine games, with the tiebreaker game
They included Ryan Ballard of South Jordan; Barbara Butler of Bountiful; Richard Atkinson of Salt Lake City; Rick Webster of Beaver; Eileen Schroeder of West Valley City; Lisa Little of West Valley City; Laura Richardson of Bountiful; Lorraine Durrant of Kearns and Julie Harmon of West Valley City.
Berg now becomes eligible for the $25,000 grand prize along with the other weekly winners.
