Gilbert John Morgan, age 74, passed away September 12, 1990 in a Salt Lake hospital.
Born June 10, 1916, Jersey City, New Jersey, to DeWitt and Alberteen Middah Morgan. Married Dorothy Gustafson, September 26, 1941, in Queens, New York. A Veteran of World War II, U.S. Army Air Corps. Retired from J.C. Penney's after 42 years as Western Accounting Division Manager. Member of The Christ Lutheran Church. Served on Board of Directors of Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Of The West.Survivors: wife, Salt Lake City; son, Ken Morgan and his wife, Nancy, Murray; daughter, Cindy Morgan, Salt Lake City; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Emily; two sisters, Irene Fanning, Maywood, New Jersey; Alberta Faerber, Toms River, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Anita Gustafson. Preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Ken.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, 3 p.m., in the Christ Lutheran Church, 240 East 5600 South. Funeral Directors: Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary.
