Ray Keith Sudbury, age 62, died Wednesday while playing golf at the Salt Lake Country Club.

He was born December 2, 1927, in Salt Lake City, a son of Lyle Bishop and Raymond Frederick Sudbury. He was a graduate of East High School and attended the University of Utah, where he was a member of the Varsity football team.He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and returned to enter the grocery business, with his father. He became a co-owner of the Town House Athletic Club and then entered the brokerage profession, where he remained active for over 25 years. He married Ruth Jean Snow, December 2, 1948.

He is survived by his wife and four children, Sydney Webb, Shauna Warren, Raymond F. Sudbury and Randall Snow Sudbury and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, June Sudbury Tyson.

He was president-elect of the Salt Lake County Club and a member of the "Over the Hill" gang. He was also active in the Holiday Park Association.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Evans and Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South. Friends may call two hours prior to services. Those wishing may make donations to Primary Children's Hospital.
