Allan James Wardle, age 41, passed away September 29, 1991 in Salt Lake City after a short illness.

Born January 8, 1950 in Salt Lake to James and Betty Forsyth Wardle. Married Karen Evonne Rich, October 25, 1980 in Independence, Missouri. Allan was influential in square dancing as a professional caller and was the owner of the first square dance store in Utah; The Wagon Wheel Square Dance Wear for 20 years. Active member of Reorganized LDS Church; and served in Older Youth Service Core in New Hampshire. His enthusiam, sense of humor and love of gardening will be remembered.Survived by his wife, Karen; son, Strider; daughter, Heather; parents; sister, Afton Ann Sorensen; many dear relatives and square dance friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 3, 1991 at 2 p.m. at the Reorganized LDS Church, 2747 East 3640 So. where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park. Funeral directors: MacKay Deseret Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family wishes contributions be made to the Scholorship Fund for the children of: Allan J. Wardle at First Security Bank.
