Directions - South from Price on Highway 10 to Huntington, then west on highway 31 about 15 miles to where Huntington Creek forks to left and right. Or, take highway 89 to Fairview, then 31 over Fairview Canyon past Electric Lake to fork.
DESCRIPTION: High mountain stream lined with pines and aspen. In fall creek runs low, but lots of riffle pools for fishing. Creek about five miles long.
Fish: Cutthroat and Brown trout
Details: Fish flies working upstream, streamers working downstream. Fish are little spooky in fall so approach cautiously. Also several smaller tributaries and beaver ponds with fishing opportunities.
Notes: Fork of Huntington campground where creek splits. Other campgrounds nearby. Catch and release on cutthroat, but browns are keepers on Left Fork. Fly fishing only on right fork, but consistently good. Also several reservoirs nearby - Cleveland, Millers Flat, Huntington, Electric Lake.
What Works: Only artificial lures and flies are allowed. Small flies and streamers working well, also smaller lures.
