The Dixie Flyers defeated the Ogden Tigers Saturday 26-7. In doing so they passed one more test in attempting to bring home the 3A state football championship.

The Flyers took the lead in the first quarter when Brian Hickman hooked up with Kip Fowler on a 23 yard touchdown pass. Dixie never trailed again."We did a good job of containing Ogden's single back offense," said Dixie coach Ray Odette. Dixie also capitalized on 5 Tiger interceptions. Ned Heaton, Shane Callohan, Paul Durrant each had one, and Kip Fowler had two. "It was one of his best games of the year," said Odette, referring to Fowler. Fowler also caught 4 passes for 86 yards and 1 touchdown.

Last week, the Ogden offense scored 20 points against Jordan.
