Robert E. Pratt, 85, of McGill, Nevada, died in Bountiful, Utah, November 9, 1991.
He was born January 24, 1906, in Lehi, Utah to Nathan and Elizabeth Yates Pratt. He married Helen Jarvis, August 19, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; she passed away August 19, 1937. He married Margaret Fontella Madsen Lay, November 15, 1940, in Ely, Nevada; later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. Active member in the LDS Church; High Priest in the McGill Ward where he had served as Scoutmaster, Ward Clerk, and as a member of the choir. He retired as a storekeeper from Kennecott's Nevada Mines Division after 47 years of service.Survived by wife; three sons and one daughter: Robert N. and Carolyn Pratt, McGill, Nev.;
Norma Kyle, Vacaville, Calif.; Robert T. and
Charolette Lay; and John Darwin Lay, San Jose, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ella Nielsen, Salt Lake City; and Faye Eldred, Washington Terrace.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 16, 11 a.m., at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in the Spanish Fork Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Nevada Home Health Services, 685 Lyons Ave., Ely, NV. 89301, c/o Marie Carrick.
