"Pee-wee's Playhouse" star Paul Reubens will accept a plea bargain that lets him avoid the "personal trauma" of a trial on an indecent exposure charge without admitting guilt, his lawyer says.

Under the deal, Reubens would plead no contest, pay a $50 fine and perform 50 hours of community service."It was an offer too good to refuse," attorney Ron Dresnick said Monday. "Pee-wee wants to get the whole thing behind him and to avoid the personal trauma of a trial."

Reubens, 39, was arrested at an X-rated movie theater July 26 after detectives said they saw him masturbate. If convicted at a trial, he could get up to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine.

Another of Reubens' lawyers, Dan Dan-heisser, said his client could enter the plea as early as Thursday.

"He definitely didn't do it," Danheisser said.
