Ivory's new dishwashing liquid claims to be tough on grease and soft on hands. This version is crystal clear, and a 22 fluid-ounce bottle retails for $1.33.
Don Russell: "We enjoyed using the new clear Ivory detergent. It was pleasant to use and seemed to perform as we anticipated. It is any better than the old traditional Ivory? I don't think so. The color and scent are different, but other than that, I imagine Proctor & Gamble may not have changed their formula too much. Ivory is effective, yet mild."Nihla Lake: "Ivory dish soap is the only kind I've used for a long time because it is the only brand that keeps my hands from breaking out. So I was a little bit worried when the familiar white Ivory disappeared from the shelves. But I found this new clear Ivory to be just a good if not better than the old. It seems to have longer lasting suds. I'm just going to keep using it forever!"
Judy Slack Wilson: "This is good stuff! I haven't been using Ivory, but I do like this clear version. It did a fine job, and when the price is right, I'll use it again."
Edyth Jensen: "I have enjoyed using Ivory for years because it hasn't left my hands feeling like last year's plums. This new Ivory seems to do what it says and that is not taking all of the oil out of your hands while it cuts the grease in the dishwater. The price is comparable to most dish detergents."
Linda C. Tingey: "I've been using the el cheapo brands for years and there is no comparison! The suds last longer and this is definitely easier on the hands. I'm going back to Ivory!"
Rich Firmage: "This soap is great! One drop goes a long way. It has suds galore. The label says `tough on grease' and I agree! The smell is nice and not at all overpowering. The clear container and clear soap look good enough to keep out on the counter. On this election day, this soap gets my vote."
Conclusion: Do you remember the old Ivory bar soap commercial where an ethereal voice intoned: "It floats"? Ivory dish soap could quite honestly announce, "It's unsinkable!"
