Gar W. Mattsson had been paroled from the Utah State Prison where he had been serving a sentence for strong-arm burglary, robbery and forcible sodomy. He violated his parole this year and is believed to have fled.
Mattsson has an extensive criminal record that includes possession of heroin. The FBI says he should be considered armed and dangerous.
