An NCAA injunction that kept suspended Syracuse basketball center Conrad McRae from playing was upheld Saturday by New York State Supreme Court Justice Thomas Murphy.

During Saturday's hearing, the university and the NCAA requested that Murphy toss out a temporary restraining order issued last week by State Supreme Court Justice Parker J. Stone that suspended the NCAA injunction and allowed McRae to play against Eastern Kentucky and St. Joseph's.The NCAA declared McRae ineligible Nov. 19 because of recruiting violations.
