Dustin Hoffman had a somewhat unusual diet during filming of the movie "Hook."
Director Steven Spielberg said Hoffman, ostensibly for his health, downed a bowl of hot onions and garlic each morning."To counter directing him nose-to-nose, I would have six mouthfuls of the stuff. So Robin (Williams) would have six mouthfuls too. Together we'd walk onto the set and gross out the entire crew," Spielberg said in the Dec. 15 edition of People magazine.
"They'd part like the Red Sea when we came in," he said. "That was the best special effect we had, I think."
