The last of Yale University's all-male senior societies agreed to admit women, ending 108 years of tradition.
Wolf's Head followed the lead of Skull and Bones, the oldest and most prestigious of Yale's secret societies, which voted in October to admit women.More than 80 percent of the alumni members of Wolf's Head approved the change, said Christopher Forster, a 1954 Yale graduate and president of the society's board. Votes were tallied Dec. 12, he said.
"I'm sorry it took so long, but I'm glad it finally happened," said Yale President Benno C. Schmidt, a member of Wolf's Head.
