Former world featherweight boxing champion Troy Dorsey will resume his kick-boxing career next month in the Ukraine, and also says he hopes to continue his boxing career as well.

Dorsey will defend his International Sport Karate Association featherweight title in a match with European featherweight champion Alexei Nechaev on Jan. 25 in Kiev."I didn't have anything boxing-wise coming up and wanted to fight, whether it was boxing or kicking. So I'll kick, but I'm really pushing for a boxing match in February or March. I hope that happens," Dorsey said.

Dorsey won the International Boxing Federation featherweight title on June 3 when he knocked out Alfred Rangel of San Antonio.
