"I'm coaching three Olympic hopefuls," the 37-year-old Korbut told People magazine. A triple gold medalist at the 1972 Olympics, Korbut recently accepted a coaching job at a gymnastics clinic in Norcross, Ga.She moved to the United States with her family in March, saying she left the Soviet Union because of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster, which occurred 180 miles from her home.
Korbut's husband, folk singer Leonid Bortkevich, is looking for work, and her son is in school. "It's not easy coming to a new country," she said. "We struggle sometimes, but we are happy. I'm much more content now that my family is together."
