A funeral service for Dr. James C. Fletcher, former University of Utah president, who twice was administrator of NASA, will be held Saturday at the Monument Park Stake Center, 1320 S. Wasatch Drive.
Friends may visit from 11 to noon, with the funeral beginning at noon. Burial will be in Salt Lake City, said a family friend.The family asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the James C. Fletcher Memorial Fund being established at the University of Utah. They may be sent to the University of Utah Development Office, 304 Park Building, Salt Lake City, UT 84112.
Dr. Fletcher died of cancer Sunday at Georgetown University Hospital near his home in McLean, Va. He was 72.
