James Arthur Johnson, 98, died December 28, 1991 at Crosslands Health Care Center in Sandy, Utah.

On November 28, 1893, he was born in North Ogden to Joseph Thomas and Mary Ann Scott Johnson.He married Hortense Castilla Malmrose in the Logan LDS Temple on October 3, 1917. Born to this union were Arthur Hyrum, Joseph Bent, and George Malmrose Johnson. Hortense died in 1934 and was buried in Brigham City. On June 8, 1938 he married Belva H. Morton, the mother of Leora M. Collins and Ermel Morton. Belva died December 10, 1963. Then on December 30, 1964 he married Athelia M. Siler, the mother of Jerald and Joe Siler.

He is survived by his wife, Athelia Johnson, who dearly loved him and with his children and grand-children, will greatly miss him.

While married to Belva, he fulfilled a full-time mission. His final church calling was as a Temple Ordinance Worker in the Salt Lake Temple. He loved providing this service and served for 17 years until his health prevented him from attending the Temple. This man loved the Lord and has always been a devoted, active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 2, 1992 at 11:00 a.m. in the Salt Lake 11th Ward, 951 East 100 South. Friends may call Wednesday January 1st, 1992, 6:00-8:00 p.m at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple and Thursday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Ward.

Interment Brigham City Cemetery.
