Billy Nelson, 33-year-old son of country music star Willie Nelson, was found dead Christmas morning from an apparent suicide by hanging, police have reported.

A neighbor, Tony Warden, said Nelson had been having problems with alcohol and with finding a job.Police notified Willie Nelson at his home in Abbott, Texas, early Christmas morning. Detective John Lawrence said that the older Nelson took the news "very hard."
