A semiliterate laborer pleaded guilty Friday to strangling six women during his lonely walks in the rain around a midtown park, saying he enticed them by inviting them to smoke crack.

"I don't know why I did this," 24-year-old Ray Shawn Jackson said from the witness stand to the victims' families. "I was raised to be good."I know you all are mad at me and wish I was dead," he said. "I ain't never done nothing like this in my whole entire life. I didn't even rob nobody."
