Britain's Prince Charles and Princess Diana left Brazil for home Saturday, ending a five-day visit that focused on the ecological and social issues.

Charles spent the morning aboard the royal yacht Britannia touring the Amazon river delta near the port of Belem, 2,140 miles northwest of Rio.The prince, who co-hosted an environmental conference with President Fernando Collor de Mello Friday aboard the Britannia, rejoined Diana late Saturday afternoon for their flight home from Belem.

The princess, who visited a number of hospitals and agencies that care for abandoned street children, was given a rose by a little girl as she left her Rio hotel.
