The Touchdown Club of Atlanta has selected Highland High School's Kerry Hicks to receive the 1991 Bobby Dodd State High School Lineman of the Year Award.

Hicks was selected for the Dodd award through a nationwide poll of sportswriters with the cooperation of the National High School Athletic Coaches Association. The award is named in honor of the late Bobby Dodd who earned Football Hall of Fame recognition following his legendary coaching career at Georgia Tech.Hicks is an All-America high school football player and a first-team selection to the Deseret News All-State football and basketball teams. He was heavily recruited in football, finally electing to attend school at Colorado.
