Sharon Lucille Collett, age 43, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 1991, at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City following a courageous battle with cancer.

Sharon was born April 22, 1948 in Hagerstown, Maryland, daughter of French S. and Dorothy D. McCusker Durst. She married Stephen D. Randolph September 1966 in Ogden, Utah; they were later divorced. She married Michael Farrell Collett November 6, 1976 in Ogden, Utah. She had been a registered nurse/analyst for the Utah State Dept. of Health.She traveled extensively with her family in the Air Force, she lived in Hagerstown, Maryland; Burtonwood, England; Biloxi, Mississippi; Baltimore, Maryland; Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma; Everett, Washington; and Layton, Syracuse, and Kaysville, Utah for the past 14 years. She received her Associate of Nursing degree from Everett Community College; and her BS degree in allied health services from Weber State College. She was enrolled in the MBA extension program at Utah State University.

Sharon was a true Christian. Although cancer destroyed Sharon's body, her cancer was limited, it did not deter her love, nor her courage, nor her spirit. She was devoted to her family and her patients. She enjoyed a love of science and of nature. Everyone who truly knew Sharon loved her, because of her concern for others. Sharon had previously worked as an RN for McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden; IHC Home Care, Ogden, Clearfield and Bountiful, Utah. She also worked for Omnicus in Ogden and Salt Lake City, and FHP in Salt Lake City.

She is survived by her husband, Kaysville; one son and one daughter, Joel Randolph Collett, Salt Lake City; and Jody Patricia Randolf, Kaysville. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy D. Durst, Sacramento, California; one brother, French S. Durst, Jr., Boulder, Colorado; and grandparents, Urban L. and Carrie Durst, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Also survived by her mother-in-law, Mrs. Eva Jean Law, West Point, Utah; and parents-in-law, Farrell R. and Martha H. Collett, St. George, Utah. Preceded in death by her father, French S. Durst, Sr., and father-in-law, John Law.

Funeral services will be held Friday, at 1 p.m., at the Kaysville East Stake Center, 201 South 600 East, where friends may call Friday, from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary.
