The abductors of soft drink bottling executive Corinne Coffin freed her Monday from 13 days of captivity after her company paid a $500,000 ransom.

Police said Coffin, 46, whose company bottles Coca-Cola, was released along Brasil Avenue, the main throroughfare in Rio de Janeiro. A police spokesman would not confirm, however, news reports that three other company executives were abducted when they handed over the ransom.Coffin, a Brazilian whose parents are U.S. citizens, was abducted May 28 when a band of gunman hijacked her car near a bridge connecting Rio de Janeiro to the town of Niteroi.
