"City Slickers," a Billy Crystal comedy about yuppies on a cattle drive, lassoed the No. 1 spot at the box office, earning $13 million last week.
"Backdraft," about urban firefighters, was in second place with $6.4 million, Exhibitor Relations Co. reported.There is no clear summer hit, but the season's blockbuster may soon emerge.
Kevin Costner's "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" opened on Friday, and audiences will get to see "Dying Young," with Julia Roberts, and "The Rocketeer" on June 21; "The Naked Gun 21/2" on June 28; and "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" on July 3.
In third place was Spike Lee's interracial love drama, "Jungle Fever." It grossed $5.3 million. It was followed by Bill Murray in "What About Bob?" It made $4.9 million.
