Getting married? The Deseret News will be happy to publish your story either as an engagement story (that must run at least two weeks before the wedding) OR a wedding story that runs either the day after the wedding or the Sunday after.
WEDDINGS: Contact the Today Section, 237-2150, at least two weeks before the wedding to make a reservation. Deadline to have the questionnaire and photo turned in is the Friday a week before the Sunday publication date or, if it is to be published on a weekday, one week before the publication date.ENGAGEMENTS: The engagement story can be published at a time desired by the couple as long as it is at least two weeks before the wedding. The questionnaire and photo must be turned in at least three weeks before the wedding date.
There is an $8 charge for the handling of each picture (make checks payable to the Deseret News), and black and white glossy prints are preferred. Photos are kept 30 days after publication in the Deseret News Library or can be mailed back if a stamped, self-addressed envelope is submitted with the questionnaire. There is no charge for stories without photos.
