Wiliam James Quigley, 32, Salt Lake City, died of heart failure Saturday, July 13, 1991.

Born August 21, 1958, in Salt Lake City, to James and Anne Fitch Quigley. Billy grew up in Eureka, Utah, and moved to Salt Lake City in 1972. He attended Judge Memorial High School and graduated from East High School in 1976. He was vice president of Compliance Engineering and Great Basin Partners, Ltd., working as a mine-hazards specialist and an exploration geologist. Bill was an avid skier and outdoorsman, and gardening became his passion in recent years. He died in the West Desert he loved.Survivors include: His parents, Salt Lake City; four sisters and one brother, Joan F. Semerad, Salt Lake City; Samuel C. Quigley, Price; Mary L. Feidt, Minneapolis, Minn.; Anne S. Quigley, Salt Lake City; Martha C. Bodine, Broomfield, Colorado; three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, nine nieces and nephews, and his companion and golden retriever, Koda.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Dave Van Masenhove at Holy Cross Hospital Chapel, 1050 East So. Temple, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Burial in Fitch Cemetery, Eureka, at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your favorite charity in Bill's behalf. Funeral director, Neil O'Donnell & Sons.
