George F. Hickman, 74, died July 17, 1991, the son of George F. and Zina W. Hickman.

Born, February 14, 1917 in Berkeley, California.Survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Lyman Hickman; a son and his wife, Grant and Ruth, Arizona; a daughter, Georgeann and husband Bill McNaughtan, Heber. George will be especially missed by his seven grandsons, Christopher Hickman, and Ben, David, Jared, Michael, Matthew and Jonathan McNaughtan, and his only granddaughter, Laurel McNaughtan Buechele, her husband Eric and their three little ones, Ryan, Kevin and Kyle.

George was an avid sportsman, he liked nothing better than being with his family and celebrating their successes. No one liked a good joke better than he did and he told them often, he even liked the bad ones and told them often also. Worked 20 years as an Army Officer putting people behind bars. Then worked 15 years for Utah State Board of Rehabilitation Services rehabilitating people for Utah. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20, where friends may call the hour prior to the service at Larkin Sunet Lawn Chapel, 2350 East 1300 South. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Diabetes Association of Utah, 643 EaSt 400 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84102 in his memory.
