A couple of former PRCA World All-Around Champion cowboys, Utah's Lewis Feild and Idaho's Dee Pickett, took the honors in their events Tuesday night in the Days of '47 Rodeo at the Salt Palace.

Neither had a high enough mark to move among the overall leaders for the seven performances of the rodeo so far, but they did have the best marks of the night.Feild, three-time World Champion from 1985-87, took the saddle bronc title with a score of 72. Pickett, who won the world all-around title in 1984, totaled 9.1 seconds in calf roping to win Tuesday.

No one recorded a top mark Tuesday for the overall rodeo, but several came close to the leaders as they won their events. Team ropers Dennis Watkins and David Motes of California pulled up in 5.7 seconds, .2 off the overall lead; Sherry Johnson of Texas finished her barrel race in 14.84 seconds, .16 off the overall lead; and Marty Staneart of California rode his bull to an 85, three off the lead.
