Michael Jordan may be the 1991 NBA MVP, but KTVX reporter Craig Wirth is the 1991 Celebrity Fantasy Basketball contest's MVP - Most Valuable Picker.
The Channel 4 humorist was awarded a plaque for finishing first in the contest, where contestants played by picking 12 NBA players to make up their fantasy teams. The players' regular-season statistics in scoring, rebounding and assists were tabulated weekly, with Wirth finishing first among the 42 celebrities representing high-profile political, business and media figures.In addition to the individual award, Wirth and his colleagues were treated to lunch by San Francisco Pizza.
The annual Celebrity Fantasy Basketball contest is sponsored by Newspaper Agency Corp. on behalf of the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune.
