Beloved son, husband, father and grandfather, Reuben Stevens, age 70, died peacefully at home August 13, 1991.

He was born May 5, 1921 in Holden, Utah, the son of John Alma Stevens and Annie Eugenia Robins. He married Renan Staples on November 1, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in many capacities. He loved the gospel of Jesus Christ, his family, friends, and the livestock that provided him with a living. He served in the U.S. Navy, World War II.He is survived by his wife Renan; four daughters, Mrs. Robert J. (Sonja) Day, West Jordan; Mrs. Larry M. (Melba Anne) Trimble, Layton; Mrs. Danny L. (Gloria) Veenendaal, Sandy; Mrs. Michael J. (Lila Jean) Kalawaia, Centerville; two sons, Mr. Robert Gail Stevens, Holden; and Bradley Freeman Stevens, Taylorsville. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Perry Max Stevens, and Evan Burt Stevens; one sister, Charlotte Stevens Upper; and a granddaughter, Marcie Stevens.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 1991, at 11 a.m., at the Holden, Utah Ward Chapel, where friends may call Saturday, one hour prior. Interment, Holden Cemetery. Funeral directors, Olpin Mortuary.
