A maniac serial killer who reputedly ate the roasted flesh of his female victims was arrested while attempting another killing in Uzbekistan in Central Asia, the Izvestia newspaper said Friday.
Nikolai Dzhumagaliev, 39, who was put away in a mental asylum in 1980 for the deaths of seven women but escaped two years ago, was seized in Ferghana in Uzbekistan, Izvestia said.The Moscow newspaper Kuranty said Dzhumagaliev, a factory worker, would spot pretty girls, chat with them on the street and lure them to the waterfront where he slaughtered them.
The paper said he roasted and ate their flesh and even cooked them into "manty," a national dish resembling meat patties.
