Wake-up time for most Americans is 7 a.m., according to a survey, although an equal number of people rise up to an hour earlier and 11.2 percent of the population sleeps until 7:30 a.m.

Another 12.2 percent vary their waking hours. The survey of men and women, by Sharp Watches, showed that more than half the respondents arose at the same time each day and 69 percent always used an alarm clock, while 20 percent did not and 11 percent used one sometimes.

Not surprisingly, 89.3 percent of those polled said the time they get up on weekends varied.
